HOSPITALITY

I/N reception Saturday, October 16 afternoon session approximately 6:30 with discussion of hands with expert.

EVENINGS: From 10 to midnight in hospitality suite.

Registration gift at hospitality desk.

PLAYING FEES: All events are $10 per person per session. Players who have not paid their ACBL membership or Life Master Service fees will be charged $1.00 additional fee per session. The playing fee for Youth members (25 years and younger is $7 per player ($80 for voucher). Juniors 19 and younger may play free.  Non-transferable Vouchers available for Tuesday thru Sunday for $100.

CONVENTIONS

All conventions on the ACBL General Convention Chart are approved for any event at this tournament.  For pair and team events, the mid-chart conventions for defense over no-trump opening or overcalls are allowed.  Mid-chart conventions, for which the ACBL has published approved defenses, may be used ONLY in the top bracket of the KO events, and then ONLY if NO team in the bracket averages fewer than 1500 masterpoints. Any pair using mid-chart conventions is responsible for having the published defenses at the table.

TEAM EVENTS:

For 3-session K.O., a playoff for 3rd & 4th is expected if eight (8) or more teams are in a bracket.  This will allow teams that enter this event to win maximum number of masterpoints. Every effort will be made to split brackets at logical masterpoint breaks, even if there are uneven number of teams in each bracket.  If there is only one bracket, handicapping will be provided with a maximum of 2 IMP per board.
